Baldhead Slick and Da Click
A loose-knit army of emcees headed by Guru (aka Baldhead Slick), Da Click features established rap vets (Ice-T, Treach, Ed O.G.), members of the Gang Starr Foundation, and up-and-coming artists mostly from Boston and New York. They released their debut self-titled LP on Landspeed Records in 2001. With rock-solid beats from some of the nicest producers in the game (Primo, Pete Rock, the Alchemist) and no-nonsense, street-centric rhymes, you really can't go wrong. Clutch tracks include "Rollin' Dolo," "Underground Connections," and "Revolutionist."
