San Francisco's own Bobby Freeman had a string of big R&B and pop hits in the late '50s, including "Need Your Love," "C'Mon and Swim," and "Do You Want to Dance." He has kept at it through the years, and while his voice is still in fine form, he hasn't regained the same level of popularity he once enjoyed, though he did help out on recordings by another Bay Area chart topper: Sly Stone.
