At a time when Digital Hardcore (both as a label and a genre)seemed to have spent its last dime on innovation, the producer known as Bomb20 somehow revived the terror. His recordings develop like a nonlinear narrative, rife with barbed dialog samples, beats so distorted they sound more like raw, vague undulations and alarming tones that evoke anxiety like air raid sirens. A blurry nightmare of colliding ideas, catastrophic breakbeats and melodic purge, the world of Bomb20 resembles an aborted video game premise that never made it past the planning stages due to its gratuitously violent content.
