Brownie McGhee

Brownie McGhee was a major figure on the Acoustic Blues scene for over forty years before his death in 1996.
He was born Walter McGhee in 1915 in Knoxville, Tenn.
That's Brownie McGhee playing one of Mickey Rourke's victims in the film "Angel Heart."
McGhee was heavily influenced by acoustic blues player Blind Boy Fuller, whom he befriended and traveled with as a youngster.
Brownie McGhee is best known for his laid-back collaborations with harmonica player Sonny Terry.
