Get past the 1980s-era synths and you'll appreciate the dark, inventive heart of this seminal Latin Rock band. Some credit Caifanes with jump-starting Mexico's alternative rock scene. Before they formed Caifanes, the three core members were in a band called Las Insolitas Imagenes de Aurora. Caifanes's third record was produced by Adrian Belew.
