DJ Quik
A hugely influential producer/emcee from Compton, DJ Quik has been unleashing thick G-Funk anthems since 1991.
His debut LP, "Quik Is The Name," went platinum thanks to "Tonite" and "Born And Raised In Compton."
Quik has produced for many other artists, including Kurupt, the Luniz, Shaq, Eightball & MJG, King T, and Tupac.
Quik's protege Mausberg was murdered in 2000, shortly before the release of his debut LP "Non Fiction."
In 2006, Quik was imprisoned for five months for assaulting one of his eight sisters.
