Though together for two years, Dead Boys' seering nihilism and catchy, yet dangerous music continues to inspire Punk bands.
Though they were originally from Cleveland, Ohio, the Dead Boys moved to New York City in 1977.
On Devo?s first trip to New York, they got into a fistfight with the Dead Boys. The Dead Boys undoubtedly won.
Prior to forming the Dead Boys, Cheetah Chrome and Johnny Blitz were in a band called Rocket From the Tombs.
Originally titled "Down To Kill," the Dead Boys changed the name of their second album to "Third Generation Nation."
