Her long-awaited follow-up to 1999's Breathe finds Faith Hill deserting country for full-fledged radio pop steeped in funky dance beats and Gospel-tinged vocals. Even her heartfelt ballads are a departure from anything twang-related. Hill's change in direction sounds more like evolution rather than a premeditated move.
