While the U.K. was in the throes of the rave scene in the early '90s, Frankie Bones made sure Americans weren't left behind. He was at the helm of some of the U.S.'s biggest raves, including Energy and the legendary Storm raves. Bones ran a record shop called Groove Records in Brooklyn. When it moved to Manhattan, it became Sonic Groove Records. The shop, on Carmine Street in Greenwich Village, closed in October 2004.
