Geto Boys
Coming out of Houston's Fifth Ward, the Geto Boys were among the first wave of hardcore gangsta rappers.
Their numerous hit singles include "Mind Playing Tricks On Me" and "Damn It Feels Good To Be A Gangsta."
Although their line-up changed several times over the years, the core group comprised Bushwick Bill, Scarface, and Willie D.
All three of them have also released solo albums, and Scarface helps run Def Jam South, whose first signee was Ludacris.
The Geto Boys helped establish Rap-A-Lot Records, whose roster would later include Do Or Die, Devin, Yukmouth, and others.
