Jeru the Damaja
Le rappeur Jeru the Damaja alias Kendrick Jaru Davis est originaire de Brooklyn à New York. Sa première apparition date de 1992, sur l’album de Gang Starr, “I’m the Man”. Son premier single solo, “Come Clean”, est sorti en 1993 et a fait un carton sur la scène underground. Son premier album, “The Sun Rises in the East”, a suivi en 1994. Prophète et sauveur autoproclamé du hip hop, Jeru a gagné en notoriété en critiquant ouvertement de nombreuses personnalités du rap. Il ne s’est pas fait que des amis mais a obtenu le respect du public. En 2003, il a sorti “Divine Design”.
