Former Clash leader sounds more global- and riddim-conscious and slightly less enraged with the Mescaleros.
Joe was rather quiet after the Clash split. He released just one official solo album between '86 and '98.
Strummer spent the years between the Clash and the Mescaleros doing some acting and soundtrack work, as well as producing.
Strummer's death was one of the biggest losses of 2003, especially since "Streetcore" was his best post-Clash record yet.
