Modern English left a huge footprint on both New Wave and alternative music in general with their classic "I Melt With You."
These five lads were part of the 4AD roster for a time, fitting in perfectly with the label's arty Post-Punk bands.
Modern English began as a Punk quintet from Colchester, England, in 1979.
The band was originally known as the Lepers.
