Ne-yo
Ne-Yo got his name from a friend/producer who told him he could "see" music like Neo sees the matrix.
Raised in a musical home, he started singing and writing at a young age, eventually working with some of R&B's biggest names.
After impressing industry honcho LA Reid, Ne-Yo secured a solo deal with Def Jam Records.
Ne-Yo also runs a production team called Compound Ent.
"In My Own World" was released at the end of 2005. It featured the single "Stay."
