Venezuela's Oscar D'Leon is one of the true giants in the history of Salsa. D'Leon is renowned for his "sensual salsa" style. He was deeply influenced by both Cuban and New York salsa. D'Leon formed his first (and primary) band, La Salsa Mayor, in Venezuela in 1976.
