Rhymefest is best known for cowriting some of Kanye West's biggest hits, including "Jesus Walks." He hails from Chicago and has a reputation for being a fierce battle-rapper. His first independent LP, "Raw Dawg," was released in 2001. Tt was produced mostly by a pre-Roc Kanye. Rhymefest dropped his first major label album, "Blue Collar," in late 2005 with production from No ID, Kanye and Mark Ronson. The lead single is called "Brand New" and the LP sports collaborations with Mario, Carl Thomas and ODB.
