Kids, get ready to sing your hearts out because the Discover Grammy Festival is coming to a town near you. Discover Card and the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (NARAS) have teamed up to promote music education in America. The festival will find major recording artists speaking to young people about the importance of music education and how it can enhance their lives. One high school-based band from many select cities will be awarded $5,000 to help cultivate the band as well as doing a sound check with the celebrity musician. Artists who've worked with the festival in the past include Robert Cray, Santana, Roberta Flack, Harry Belafonte, Crosby, Stills and Nash and Kenny Loggins. Stay tuned to JAMTV for more news about the Discover Grammy Festival. (AB)
