Shooter Jennings is the sole son of Jessi Colter and the late Waylon Jennings. Like his father, Shooter plays outlaw country. Shooter Jennings briefly played his father, Waylon Jennings, in a cameo role for the Johnny Cash biopic "Walk The Line." Shooter Jennings' real name is Waylon Albright Jennings. He learned to play drums and piano at age five and guitar at 14. Before he dug deep in the fertile soil of his outlaw country roots, Shooter Jennings played in the L.A. rock band Stargunn. After disbanding his rock band Stargunn, Shooter Jennings put together a country band called the 357s and recorded an album.
