This short-lived folk revival band helped rescue Celtic folk from pub songs, restoring subtlety and grace to the genre.
The band's magic came primarily from the interplay between Johnny Moynihan and Andy Irvine.
The group lasted for only four years -- from 1966-69. An attempted revival in the early '70s didn't get off the ground.
