Riding the coattails of the British Invasion, the Basement Wall were a late '60s garage band based in Baton Rouge. Primarily a cover band, they performed skronky, raucous send-ups of fail-proof crowd-pleasers like "Midnight Hour" and "Eleanor Rigby." In their songs, sloppy, proto-punk guitars and pre-Iron Butterfly Farfisa organ jams predominate.
