The Distillers
Distillers are a hardcore punk band, formed in late 1998 when Australian-born Brody Armstrong joined forces with bassist Kim Chi. Influenced by Smith, the Plasmatics' Wendy O. Williams, The Circle Jerks, U.S. Bombs and Rocket from the Crypt, their soul-tinged brand of punk rock sparked interest with the label Epitaph, who released the band's self-titled debut in April 2000. Their second album "Sing Sing Death House" appeared later that year, but was re-released in early 2002. The band survived several changes in line-up before recording their third album, "Coral Fang", released in 2003.
