The Fabulous Thunderbirds
The blues rock band The Fabulous Thunderbirds were formed in 1974 in Austin, Texas. The group was founded by drummer Mike Buck, singer Kim Wilson and guitarist Jimmie Vaughan - the older brother to Stevie Ray Vaughan. Canned Heat's Gene Taylor, Ronnie James Weber and Nick Curran later joined in. The single "Tuff Enuff" was featured in the movie "Tough Guys" starring Kirk Douglas and Burt Lancaster. It became a sudden hit for the band. As was their next single, "Wrap It Up". The band also was a key element in John Cusack's 1987 movie "Hot Pursuit". A couple more albums were released also.
