The Incredible String Band
This fantasy-laden British Folk troupe blended Celtic Folk melodies with Asian and Middle Eastern instrumentation.
On their 1966 debut, the group were a trio comprising Robin Williamson, Mike Heron and Clive Palmer.
Clive Palmer left the band to later form the Famous Jug Band and then the cleverly named Clive's Own Band.
The Incredible String Band finally disbanded in 1974.
The String Band have a film out now on DVD entitled "Be Glad For The Song Has No Ending." It contains great vintage footage.
