The Timelords
The Timelords are none other than the notorious agents provocateurs Bill Drummond and Jimi Cauty (aka the KLF, and the JAMS). This iconoclastic duo has made a career out of scandalizing glib, self-complacent music industry nabobs by, for instance, deliberately plagiarizing ABBA and by burning mass quantities of their own recordings. Agitprop antics aside, the two are brilliant producers and composers, laying down infectious House grooves that work as either straight-ahead dance floor anthems or sarcastic parodies of club culture in toto.
