Known for their unmatchable, gorgeous melodies, this British Invasion group had their biggest hit with "Time of the Season." Zombies vocalist Colin Blunstone's breathy style carried over to a varied and fulfilling solo career. Zombies keyboardist Rod Argent went on to great success with the creatively named '70s art rock band Argent. The Zombies won a local band contest in 1963 and were immediately offered a deal by Decca Records. The misspelling of the word "odyssey" on their '68 album, "Odessey & Oracle," was apparently just a typo.
