Triumph was a Canadian rock band that enjoyed some veritable success during the 1970's and the 1980's. Like their fellow Canadians, Rush and Saga, the band began building their reputation as a live band. Triumph were formed by Gil Moore, Mike Levine and Rik Emmett. Other band members were Rick Santers and Phil Xenidis. In 1976 the band released their self-titled debut album. The sophomore effort "Rock & Roll Machine" came out a year later. Other albums were "Just A Game" (1979), "Progressions Of Power" (1980), "Allied Forces" (1981) and "Never Surrender" (1982). A big hit was "Hold On" (1979).
