The Canadian singer and actress Alexz Johnson was born as Alexzandra Spencer Johnson on November 4, 1986 in Canada. She won a National Anthem Contest at age 11 and soon earned herself the nickname “West Coast Celine”. She started to act in television at age 14, when she became part of the cast of the Disney series “So Weird”. Johnson also wrote one of the songs for the show. In 2004 she starred in the TV series “Instant Star”, a dramatization of the talent contest scene (think “Idols”). The songs from the show were released on the album “Songs from Instant Star” (2005).
