New York is about to be attacked ... with some of the best jazz acts this country has to offer. Two jazz festivals, Texaco New York Jazz Festival and the JVC Jazz Festival will bring the likes of Kurt Elling; Medeski, Martin & Wood; Charlie Hunter Quartet; Cassandra Wilson, Ray Charles and the Aretha Franklin's Gospel Crusade for AIDS to the Big Apple between June 16 and June 20. Many of the acts are free. More information is available at JVC Jazz Festival and Texaco New York Jazz Festival. (AB)
