Television soundtracks are music created to accompany the broadcast of television programs, including theme songs (John Sebastianys song for Welcome Back Kotter), background music (Angelo Badalamentiys music for Twin Peaks) and music performed by the actors themselves (Vonda Sheppardys urban blues in Ally McBeal). Often, the music becomes a virtually dominant character on the show, as with Jonathan Wolff's slap bass-heavy music for Seinfeld.
